Description:  Also known as the "Enterprise Canal Trail Pedestrian/Cyclist Overpass", the Sierra Gateway Overpass is a planned iconic bridge that crosses SR 262, a major highway connecting the Fresno metropolitan region to the communities and recreational areas of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The bridge will forge a key link in the City of Clovis comprehensive pedestrian/bicycle master plan. The City has directed that the visual design of the bridge embody the City’s historic motto, “The Gateway to the Sierras”. In its first phase, the study is evaluating three “signature” bridge types: cable-stayed, single tied arch, and twin-span tied arch.
