AMTRAK – FAIRFIELD / VACAVILLE STATION

Description:  New Amtrak commuter and intercity rail station along Capitol Corridor between Oakland and Sacramento, serving Fairfield, Vacaville, and Travis Air Force Base.  Elements include bus intermodal facility, cross-corridor sky-lit pedestrian and bicyclist underpass, park & ride lot, and provisions for future full-featured station house (currently in design by FMG Architects), parking garage, and transit-oriented development.
