Description:  Award-winning elevated commuter rail passenger station and intermodal center for the City of San Bruno. The modernist design features landmark architectural elements supporting the city’s San Mateo Avenue commercial core, including a new public park and fountain, a future tied-arch pedestrian bridge spanning a busy street, and provisions for mixed-use joint-development of street-fronting station spaces. Conceptual and final design featured extensive participation by city staff, elected officials, and the public, through design workshops facilitated by Rick Phillips.
