Description: Signature pedestrian and bicyclist bridge spanning mainline rail corridor, linking major employment and retail/commercial centers. Unique combination of S-curved deck and asymmetrical single tied-arch creates striking image while resolving complex site conditions. Conceptual design was developed through intense stakeholder involvement. To avoid railroad impacts, main span will be constructed off-site and placed by crane. Project includes new public park (designed by Callandar Associates) and extensive urban design and interpretive features.
